This is a past event.

Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 4:00pm to 6:00pm

DM - Deuxieme Maison, 457
11200 SW 8th ST 33199, Deuxieme Maison, Miami, Florida 33199

Join us for a roundtable discussion led by D. Mark Kelley.

What do 300-year-old women pirates tell us about queer identities and literatures? Wait, there are 300-year-old pirates? Yes, friends, yes there are. So gather round while we discuss gender performance, sexual fluidity, (pirate) booty, and a long history of queer folks' overall bad-assery. All aboard!

This event is hosted by Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society on campus, open to all majors! For more information email us at sigmataudeltaatfiu@gmail.com or follow us on Instagram: sigmataudelta_fiu
