This is a past event.

Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 4:00pm to 6:00pm

DM - Deuxieme Maison, 457
11200 SW 8th ST 33199, Deuxieme Maison, Miami, Florida 33199

Join us for a roundtable discussion led by D. Mark Kelley.

What do 300-year-old women pirates tell us about queer identities and literatures? Wait, there are 300-year-old pirates? Yes, friends, yes there are. So gather round while we discuss gender performance, sexual fluidity, (pirate) booty, and a long history of queer folks' overall bad-assery. All aboard!

This event is hosted by Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society on campus, open to all majors! For more information email us at or follow us on Instagram: sigmataudelta_fiu
