On November 8th, FIU will host our 3rd National First-Generation Day College Celebration featuring a First-Generation Services Resource Fair (Graham Center PIT) and a First Generation Alumni  Lunch and Learn Panel ( Graham Center 150 & Wolfe University Center 155) . The University community is invited to join in on the festivities to celebrate our 1st Gen Students and learn about services and opportunities available to support them, as well as well learn from  our 1st Gen alumni  how they  managed  challenges to successfully navigate their undergraduate experience and earn their degree.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
