Welcome to National Public Health Week (NPHW) 2022! This year’s theme is “Public Health is Where You Are.” Within the last two years, we have experienced and appreciated the importance of public health. As doctoral students in the School of Public Health, we must provide educational opportunities and resources surrounding important public health issues to our community.

A huge thank you to the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, along with collaborators such as the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Doctoral Committee, the Stempel College Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Leaders in Maternal and Child Health, and the Environmental Health Student Association for making this happen.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
