The New York Times Speakers Series is an annual event hosted by the Office of Global Learning Initiatives to provide an opportunity for students, faculty, staff and community members to attend a keynote lecture given by a New York Times journalist. This engaging session is an excellent opportunity to gain insights on global issues directly from top journalists.   • Description: In this New York Times Speaker Series event, Carlos Lozada, opinion columnist at The New York Times and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for criticism, will reflect on the defining moments that shaped his path in political journalism. Drawing on his experience as a senior editor and book critic at The Washington Post and as managing editor of Foreign Policy, he will offer an inside look at how journalists build authority, credibility, and intellectual range in a rapidly evolving media landscape. Attendees can expect an engaging and thoughtful conversation on mentorship, resilience, intellectual curiosity, and the choices that shape a meaningful career in political journalism.
