Nova Star Juneteenth Scholarship Competition Show

As part of the Juneteenth celebration, FIU will have the Nova Star Scholarship Competition Show on June 10, 2023. This competition show will showcase students who exemplify leadership, school spirit, and a commitment to their FIU community. Contestants will compete in categories such as talent, Q&A session, and a short speech on an issue they are passionate about. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Join us for music and vendors at 6:00 pm before the show starts. 

Prior to the event, students are encouraged to attend the Nova Star Networking Mixer from 4:30-6:00 pm at the Wine Spectator Room in the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Students will be able to engage and network with employers and organizations while learning about their different work environments, culture, and interview process. The dress code is business casual. Refreshments will be served. Students approaching their junior and senior years and graduate students are especially encouraged to participate. Visit go.fiu.edu/novanetwork to apply now!

Free shuttle bus transportation between MMC and BBC will be provided. 

Departure from MMC: 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm

Departure from BBC: 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm

Any and all net proceeds from this event, after payment of associated expenses, may be used to support future program expenses of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including but not limited to student scholarships, through the FIU Foundation, Inc.
