Please join us for a critical update briefing on Export Control and Research Security that directly impacts our participation in basic/fundamental and secure research programs, as well as other academic and business activities.  In addition to highlighting recent changes in Federal requirements, our presenter,  Don Fischer (FIU's Export Control/Research Security Consultant) will join ORED in outlining State of Florida research security requirements that impact international collaboration, conference attendance and publication, hosting visiting scholars, and international travel among other key areas.  We will be providing important information on FIU's response to these requirements and related procedures.  All faculty and supporting staff are strongly encouraged to attend.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
