Have you ever thought about how your future career may impact your mental health? Entering the “real world” can be overwhelming, and research has shown that this transition may cause anxiety and stress (Jed Foundation, 2018). There are many important strategies that you can employ to prepare for this transition, such as accessing important campus resources – such as Counseling and Psychological Services and Career and Talent Development – to making a plan for your career transition. This panel aims to offer students perspective from leaders in entrepreneurship, entertainment, and hospitality on how to bridge the gap between career and mental health.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
