High-resolution X-ray Computed Tomography (micro-CT) is an increasingly popular 3D imaging technique, capable of providing visual and quantitative information about the object under investigation. In this presentation, I will elaborate on the practical implementation of this technique at the Ghent University Centre for X-ray Tomography, which houses 5 custom-made micro-CT systems, and the broad range of applications encountered at this facility. Furthermore, an overview will be given of the current research on this quickly evolving methodology.
