DESCRIPTION:Dr. Viswanathan Mohan is chairman of the Madras Diabetes Resear
 ch Foundation in Chennai\, India\, an Indian Council of Medical Research C
 ollaborating Centre of Excellence (ICMR-CCoE) and Asia’s largest standal
 one diabetes research center. He also serves as chairman of Dr. Mohan’s 
 Diabetes Specialities Centre\, an International Diabetes Federation (IDF) 
 Centre of Excellence in Diabetes Care.\n\nMohan oversees a network of 50 d
 iabetes centers across eight Indian states and maintains electronic health
  records for more than 700\,000 registered diabetes patients. His primary 
 research interests include the epidemiology of diabetes and its complicati
 ons\, diabetes genomics\, including monogenic diabetes\, precision diabete
