Fundo de Quintal is Brazil’s most legendary samba band, formed in Rio de Janeiro in the 1970s. Emerging from the samba circles of the Cacique de Ramos carnival group, created by Bira Presidente, Ubirany and Sereno in 1961, Fundo de Quintal has become one of the greatest references in the samba world.

Every samba dancer is a little bit Fundo de Quintal, after all, they have 45 years of success in Brazilian Popular Music. It is no wonder that they are recognized as the most awarded and respected group in the genre in history. Fundo de Quintal's vitality and longevity are no secret and the recipe is simple: musical generosity. Many of the great icons, the giants of samba began their careers with Fundo de Quintal including Jorge Aragão, Sombrinha, Almir Guineto, Arlindo Cruz, Mario Sérgio, Ronaldinho and Ubirany.
