Dr. Rink will be presenting Community Based Participatory Research, Mixed Methods, and Ethical Considerations in Stepped Wedge Design Trials: Points of Divergence and Solutions Identified in a Multilevel Intervention Aimed at Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health Outcomes among American Indian Adolescents. Here she will discuss the use of community based participatory research to develop, implement, and evaluate a multilevel intervention with American Indian adolescents and their families aimed at improving sexual and reproductive health outcomes among tribal youth. Discussed will be points of divergence when combining community engaged practices with western science randomized controlled trial methods. Specific attention will be given to ethical considerations with community based participatory research randomized controlled trials.
