FIU's Relay for Life is a celebration of life and the hope that, one day, we will find a cure for cancer. This is an opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember people we have lost, but also to raise funds and awareness to help save lives. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society, a nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to cancer research, education, advocacy, and service. This year, our theme is "Relay on the Beat," bringing the community together through music. Our event is set to take place Friday, March 10th, 2023, at 6p.m. in the Ryder Business Loop. Please consider joining or creating a team or participating in all activities on the day of the event to help us reach our chapter goal of $80,000: www.relayforlife.org/FIUFL. Hope to see you there!

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
