"An Empirical Analysis of Fiscal Illusion Using Subjective Well-Being Data", by Kohei Kiya, University of Aizu (Venue: SIPA 100)

Professor Kohei Kiya is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Aizu in Japan. His main research interest is in empirical analysis of public finance, especially debt sustainability. His research has addressed people's perceptions and preferences over government spending and taxes. He teaches microeconomics, macroeconomics, and regional economics. He previously worked for the Japan International Cooperation Agency as an economist of the Credit Risk Analysis Division. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Washington in 2013.
