DESCRIPTION:About the talk: Evidence-based interventions for adolescents wi
th ADHD can effectively target organizational\, time-management\, and rela
ted functional skills\, yet treatment outcomes depend on adolescents’ en
gagement and ability to use these strategies in everyday contexts. This pr
esentation will examine treatment engagement and skill utilization in adol
escent ADHD\, drawing on findings from a systematic review of cognitive-be
havioral interventions that identifies common approaches for promoting eng
agement\, research examining predictors of treatment engagement and differ
ential treatment effects\, and a school-based intervention augmented with
novel mobile technology designed to support real-time skill use. Together\
, these findings illustrate opportunities to move beyond traditional appro
aches to intervention delivery by intentionally designing interventions to
promote engagement\, reinforce skill use\, and provide support when and w
here adolescents need it. The presentation will highlight how engagement-f
ocused strategies may enhance treatment response and will discuss implicat
ions for optimizing the delivery of ADHD interventions across school and o
utpatient settings.\n\nThis presentation is relevant to mental health prof
