Virtual Event By invitation only for students in POR 3202 RVAA Accelerated Portuguese class.

The practice of sports is fundamental in Brazil
and it would be very reductive to limit the Brazilians to one sport: Brazilians practice all kinds of sports and will warmly support and applaud their champions in stadiums, on beaches, or on circuits. Brazil is also home to some of the world’s best athletes, with many
competing in the Olympics and other international
competitions.

Event in Portuguese. Part of LACC’s FLAC Lecture
Series and LACC’s Program of Excellence in Brazilian
Studies (PROBRAS).

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
