In partnership with CasaCuba and Hillel at FIU, Exodus Passover presents the traditional Passover seder in a non-traditional way. Mixed among students reciting the four questions and discussing modern plagues, will be stories of the modern exodus from Cuba, Russia, and Eastern Europe during the Holocaust. How has the flight for freedom and the dream of a better world compared throughout time? What are the battles we still fight? Why does hope continue to prevail? Join us for a very special evening as we not only say "next year in Jerusalem," but we celebrate the present and focus on this year in Miami.

Special guests include Holocaust survivor Anita Karl, author Ruth Behar, and Cantor Vicky Glikin.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
