Systematically Arranged Mixture-Based Libraries
About this Event
Join us for a talk on "Systematically Arranged Mixture-Based Libraries” with Dr. Marc Giulianotti, Principal Scientist, Torrey Pines at FIU.
The talk will provide an overview of how systematically arranged mixture-based libraries differ from other compound screening collections. It will describe the contents and characteristics of the mixture-based libraries available at FIU and how they can be utilized for the rapid assessment of millions of compounds using exponentially less samples. A case study of how the libraries were applied for the identification of hit compounds for nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and how these hits enabled medicinal chemistry efforts aimed at developing preclinical candidates will be provided. Finally, the talk will conclude with some general observations about the data generated from the libraries and how this could be further utilized.
