DESCRIPTION:Join us for a talk on "Systematically Arranged Mixture-Based Li
 braries” with Dr. Marc Giulianotti\, Principal Scientist\, Torrey Pines 
 at FIU. \n\nThe talk will provide an overview of how systematically arrang
 ed mixture-based libraries differ from other compound screening collection
 s.  It will describe the contents and characteristics of the mixture-based
  libraries available at FIU and how they can be utilized for the rapid ass
 essment of millions of compounds using exponentially less samples.  A case
  study of how the libraries were applied for the identification of hit com
 pounds for nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and how these hits enabled me
 dicinal chemistry efforts aimed at developing preclinical candidates will 
 be provided.  Finally\, the talk will conclude with some general observati
 ons about the data generated from the libraries and how this could be furt
 her utilized.
