Join us to explore the impact of interns and internships in legislative offices across the United States at the Florida House. Our featured speakers include:

- FIU Alumni Carlos Orta, Author of ‘From Havana to D.C.: The Rise of Cuban Americans in Florida Politics’, and a former legislative aide and lobbyist.
- Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Former Congresswoman, the first Cuban American elected to Congress and the most senior member of the Florida delegation after 30 years of service.

Copies of Carlos Orta’s new book ‘From Havana to D.C.’ will be available for purchase as a donation to the Florida House.
