Global learning doesn’t happen in isolation; it thrives in community. With support from the Office of Global Learning Initiatives, this reading group invites faculty from across disciplines to come together and explore how we can engage global learning in meaningful, innovative ways. We’ll explore how global learning can be applied across disciplines and examine approaches to problem-based learning bringing together global perspectives. Through shared readings and open dialogue, we’ll learn from each other’s experiences, challenge assumptions, and co-create new possibilities for teaching and collaboration. Whether you’re new to global learning or already immersed in it, this is a space to connect, grow, and expand your practice.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
