- Description: This session will examine what it means to make art in the age of AI, where ethics are shaped not just by tools but by how they are used. Drawing on Brian Eno’s reflections on new media and Saidiya Hartman’s concept of Critical Fabulation, the lecture will explore artmaking as a propositional and sometimes mischievous practice, one that resists efficiency-driven narratives of progress. Through hands-on approaches such as databending and ideation prompts, participants will consider how creative mischief can challenge dominant ethical assumptions and open new possibilities within contemporary creative fields.
