- Description: This session will examine how student-powered learning can transform math literacy in public education. We will share stories from the Math Narrative Project, highlighting an innovative near-peer teaching model in which 8th graders from Liberty City trained as Math Literacy Workers to teach math through games to younger peers. Through testimonials and interactive demonstrations, attendees will see how young people teaching young people builds understanding, confidence, and community—and why this approach is a powerful resource in the fight for quality education.
