Date/Time: October 16th – 6pm-8pm

Location: Miami Beach Visual Arts Gallery

Opening Thursday, October 16th, Wandering Strangers presents multidisciplinary works that weave together animation, video, textiles, text, and set design. Drawing from personal narratives, literature, and travel, the exhibition explores the rhythms and repetitions of daily life often experienced by women, children, migrants, and persons with disabilities. Through non-linear storytelling and patterns of movement, the work reflects on displacement, migration, and the search for belonging—reminding us that human migration is a continuum, and that each of us walks in the footsteps of others.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
