Join the CASE Career team to make your very own wandering map. This career, values, and strengths exploration activity guides participants through creating a visual that captures the patterns and themes in significant moments.

After completing the maps, students can uncover themes and threads that have been throughout their lives, revealing their natural strengths and mindsets. Student can use their maps to connect strengths and experiences to goal setting in their personal and professional life.

How to get started with Wandering Maps: Career Connections to Wandering Maps - https://news.wfu.edu/2014/04/02/visual-maps-provide-career-direction/ We recommend if you are working on paper to have 3 different colors of drawing utensils. No Coloring Supplies? No Problem! Consider using PPT, Word, or Canva, to insert text, shapes, and arrows of different colors.

This workshop series is based on Vanderbilt's Dr. Kate Brooks & Grace J. Foy's "Picture Your Career" guidebook

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
