Dr. Michelle Kirwan completed her undergraduate BA degree in Psychology at Washington University in St Louis on a full academic scholarship. Dr. Kirwan then attended medical school at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine on a 4-year academic scholarship. After receiving her medical degree she went on to complete her Pediatric Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr Kirwan is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been serving as the chief medical officer and pediatrician at The Center for Family & Child Enrichment Inc., a federally qualified health center, in Miami Gardens, Florida since March of 2013.

Dr. Kirwan currently serves as a General board member on The Vice Provost’s Council here at FIU at the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) and has served as the secretary for the James W. Bridges M.D., Medical Society, the local chapter of the National Medical Association, since 2007. She has been an advisory council member for the Live Healthy Miami Gardens initiative. Dr. Kirwan is an avid traveler, an exercise enthusiast and enjoys the performing arts. Her philosophy in life is: “From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required.”
