Workshop High-Risk Research in the Americas: A Practical preparation for Challenging Work

The Center for the Administration of Justice and the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center will host the workshop, High Risk in the Americas: A Practical Preparation for Challenging Fieldwork, led by expert Field Research Coach Ellen Van Damme, PhD.

This full-day workshop is designed to equip researchers with tools and strategies to navigate sensitive topics, adapt to unexpected challenges, maintain productivity, and safeguard personal well-being during demanding fieldwork. Participants will engage in guided exercises and group discussions, reflecting on how their experiences influence the research process.

***This workshop is only for FIU faculty and graduate students.

This event is part of the Resilient Communities Against Transnational Gangs Program (RESCAT) and made possible with support from LACC’s US Department of Education Title VI Grant.
