Join the FIU Women's Center and Centers for Student Engagement to celebrate the accomplishments of women and the progress they have made globally. 

SGA Senate Meeting
4-6 p.m. | GC 150
Student Government Association members are reminded to attend the weekly senate meeting. This meeting is open to all students.

Panthers' F1RST NIGHT
6-10 p.m. | Pitbull Stadium
Experience FIU's newly renamed Pitbull Stadium and kickoff an exciting new year alongside thousands of Panthers at one of FIU's biggest traditions of the year! There will be food, entertainment, giveaways, and so much more! Plus, a special welcome from President Kenneth Jessell, Provost Elizabeth Bejar, and other university leadership. Panthers' F1RST NIGHT is the perfect way to celebrate the start of the semester, meet new friends, and see how you can get involved in the vibrant campus life at FIU.

Statement of Free Expression

FIU endorses the Florida Board of Governors' Statement of Free Expression to support and encourage full and open discourse and the robust exchange of ideas and perspectives on our campuses. In addition to supporting this legal right, we view this as an integral part of our ability to deliver a high-quality academic experience for our students, engage in meaningful and productive research, and provide valuable public service. This includes fostering civil and open dialogue in support of critical thinking in and out of the classroom, including events hosted by the university.
