LACC is proud to co-sponsor the XXIX New Music Miami ISCM Festival (January 14–April 15, 2026), celebrating 29 years of bold, innovative contemporary music in Miami.

Join us for the festival opening, led by Artistic Director Orlando Jacinto Garcia, featuring the acclaimed Amernet String Quartet, FIU’s Artist-in-Residence Ensemble and acclaimed guest artists.

A FIU Distinguished University Professor and LACC Affiliated Faculty, Orlando Jacinto Garcia is the founder of the New Music Miami ISCM Festival, the FIU NODUS Ensemble, and the FIU New Music Ensemble. With more than 200 compositions across diverse performance genres, he is a leading voice in the global new music scene and was recently featured in Diario de las Américas.

Don’t miss this exceptional start to the festival—an opportunity to experience world-class musicians bringing vibrant new chamber music to life in the heart of Miami’s cultural landscape.

Presented by the FIU Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts, with support from the City of Miami Beach, the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center, FIU Miami Beach Urban Studios, The Betsy South Beach Hotel, and The Betsy Writers Room.
