Alex Burtzos is an American composer, conductor, and educator whose music—performed across four continents—blends bold contemporary ideas with influences from jazz, rock, and the avant-garde. His work defies easy categorization and reflects a wide range of inspiration and expression.

The program also showcases compelling works by composers from the Americas: Marvin Camacho (Costa Rica), Andy Akiho (USA), Eddie Mora (Costa Rica), and Diana Arismendi (Venezuela).
