DESCRIPTION

This guitar percussion duo perform a world prmiere by Orlando Jacinto Garcia. The duo is made up of Dieter Hennings and Paul Vaillancourt, and together, they are focused on broadening the cutting-edge body of repertoire for guitar and percussion from North and South America.

NEW MUSIC MIAMI ISCM FESTIVAL

We’re celebrating 26 years! This year, the festival runs from January 2022 through April 2022 and includes the presentation of music by composers from around the world, many of whom are present to discuss their music for FIU students and audiences. Info at nmmf.fiu.edu.

What does ISCM stand for?

ISCM stands for International Society for Contemporary Music. It is a prestigious international network of members from around fifty countries, devoted to the promotion and presentation of contemporary music - the music of our time. Through ISCM, our members promote contemporary music in all its varied forms, strengthening musical life in their local contexts and making their music and its creators known to world. The ISCM embraces the diverse music of its many members without discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, or politics.
