Infill urbanism is the incremental development of scattered sites over time with modest buildings. It is an accessible form of urbanism that does not require the significant investments typically associated with urban development. Infill urbanism appeals to and engages a wide base of possible constituents who may not feel they could shape a city. In this exhibition, student projects reveal possibilities for urban living that are not bound by developer interests. The Infill Housing Studio, exhibition publication was generously supported by the Knight Foundation and the Townhouse Center.
