Title:
Int'l Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
Date/Time:
On November 14, 2012 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Location:
Panther Square BBC
Description:
Take a stand against sexual and gender-based violence by taking part in IDEVAW activities. Featuring:

The Clothesline Project : Decorate a t-shirt with your experience, emotions or message of support for IDEVAW and hang it to be viewed by others as a testimony to the problem of violence against women.
These Hands Don’t Hurt : An act of domestic violence takes place every nine seconds in the United States. Help us increase awareness and understanding of all forms of violence by tracing your hands on a large canvas. Signify your commitment to NEVER participate in violence within your relationship.
Walk the Line: Take the time to become aware of what’s going on around you. Walk the line that someone may have walked. Whether you know it or not, you may have more in common with the person next to you then you think. We can all be there to help each other walk the line.
Squeezing Balls Not Hitting Walls with CAPS : Learn about alternatives to violence from VAC Peer Educators as you make your own personalized stress balls.
FREE FOOD: Taste of Thai!
