Join us for a Miami Biodiversity event at the FIU Nature Preserve as part of the 2018 City Nature Challenge.

During this event you will meet experts on the biodiversity of the Preserve and FIU’s organic garden and learn more about the different species that are part of the Preserve’s ecosystems. The short biodiversity workshop will be followed by interactive citizen-science activities where you will get to participate in a challenge to observe and identify different plants and animals!

More about the City Nature Challenge:

FIU SEAS and our partner organizations in Miami are co-leading an effort to engage the city in the 2018 City Nature Challenge to show the world the biodiversity of our land and water! Mark your calendar for April 27-30, 2018, when our city competes to upload to iNaturalist as many observations of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms as possible.

Citizen science is key to secure the future of our local environmental resources and build a sustainable and resilient Miami. Visit: https://seas.fiu.edu/opportunities/city-nature-challenge/index.html for more info about other events that you can attend during the City Nature Challenge.
