On March 1, FIU in DC will partner with the University of Miami to host a Minority Health Disparities Symposium. The symposium will focus on initatives spearheaded at FIU’s Center for Research on U.S. Latino HIV/AIDS and Drug Abuse (CRUSADA). CRUSADA’s main objective is to address the escalating twin epidemics of substance abuse and HIV/AIDS affecting Latino communities throughout South Florida.
Leadership from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), will be in attendance among other notable health experts from Capitol Hill and the White House.
