NOTICE OF JOB AVAILABILITY
TITLE: Assistant Professor
DUTIES: Responsible for teaching research methodology to medical students, mentoring medical students in their curricular research projects, advising students in study design and on the effective implementation of their research training experience. Duties will mainly take place at our Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC), but may also involve community-based activities related to epidemiology, biostatistics and data management activities. This position will also be involved in grant and research activities by leading and/or participating in grant writing and research proposals submission seeking external funding. In addition, the selected candidate will work in close relationship with the FIU HWCOM affiliated clinical centers and will contribute to the orientation, training and coaching for the College of Medicine clinical partners through his/her participation in student research activities if desired or required. Finally, the candidate will collaborate in administrative activities in support of the Department of Medical and Health Sciences Research.
REQUIREMENTS: MD, with a PhD in research, biostatistics or epidemiology
HOURS: M-F, 40hrs/wk., 9am-5pm.
