Student Leadership Summit

The Annual FIU Student Leadership Summit is held each February on the Biscayne Bay Campus. The Summit is a one-day conference for current students. The Summit offers our students the opportunity to learn from the vast expertise of our faculty and administrators, to share their leadership experiences with each other and to establish a network of support and cooperation within the university. The Student Leadership Summit is sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Service, Campus Life offices at MMC & BBC, Housing & Residential Life, Orientation & Parent Programs.

To enhance student learning at the Summit, we have identified learning outcomes around competencies that student leaders should develop for performance excellence. Faculty, staff, advisors and graduate students will be facilitating a series of workshops and presentations that directly tackle these leadership competencies. This year the event will take place on February 3rd, 2018 from 8am – 4pm at BBC. Registration for the event will open in December and is required. For more information about the event or to register visit leadserve.fiu.ed > Develop Leadership Skills > Student Leadership Summit tab.

FIU Relay for Life is a unique overnight celebration of life and hope that one day we will find a cure for cancer. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. No matter who you are, there’s a place for you at Relay. Each dollar you raise will help save lives. How far will you go to make a difference in the fight against cancer? Your reasons for walking in Relay For Life are as unique and special as the story that motivates you. This is your opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember people we have lost, but also to raise funds and awareness to help save lives. Because of your support, we are creating a world where cancer can’t claim another year of anyone’s life. You are helping create a world with less cancer and more birthdays!
