Practice Interview Program (PIP)

**REGISTRATION REQUIRED**

Recruiters from local organizations participate in the practice interview program to provide students and alumni with feedback about their interview skills. Practice Interviews are typically offered once a month at all three Career Services locations during the Fall and Spring semesters.

To participate, you MUST have a Panther JOBLink account with an approved uploaded resume in order to sign up for a date and time.  

 

CareerLeader: Which Career Path is Right for Me? (Workshop for Business Students)

Selecting a career path can be a daunting task. In preparation for this workshop, you will take the Harvard-developed CareerLeader Self-Assessment and together we will identify what your top interests, motivators and skills are; how they translate to “business careers” and what organizational culture matches you best.

VMOCK for Dummies (Workshop for Business Students)

Not sure how to use VMOCK? : During this workshop all students will learn what to do and what not to do when submitting a resume through VMock. The students will be able to understand the VMock process and its expectations once a resume is submitted as well as how to raise their score.

R.I.S.E.(Mock Interviews with Employers)

The R.I.S.E. Program provides business students with the opportunity to enhance their interview skills by participating in a mock interview scenario with employers. Each interview will consist of real world behavioral based questions and allow students to gain feedback from employers based on their responses to help improve their skills in the future.

Career Fair – Day 2: All Majors Fair

Career Fair

Career Fair is one of the biggest career-related events in the region. On the Modesto A. Maidique Campus alone, we regularly introduce over 80 employers to nearly 1,500 of our students and alumni. Employers comprise private industry; public, educational, and non-profit organizations; local government, federal government, law enforcement and military.

Career Fair is open only to FIU students and alumni, and is free of charge. Students and alumni wishing to attend Career Fair DO NOT need to register to do so. However, in order to attend students and alumni must wear professional attire, be able to submit one copy of their resume and have a Panther ID.
