VMOCK for Dummies (online session for business students)

Not sure how to use VMOCK? During this workshop students will learn what to do and what not to do when submitting a resume through VMock on a virtual basis. Students will log in online and will understand the VMock process and its expectations once a resume is submitted as well as how to raise their score.

Recruiters from local organizations participate in the practice interview program to provide students and alumni with feedback about their interview skills. Practice Interviews are typically offered once a month at all three Career Services locations during the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Career Boot Camp is designed to prepare students and alumni in gearing up for the Career Fairs. This event provides an opportunity to participate in workshops presented by several employers and staff all in one day!

Seating is limited – Students and alumni wishing to attend Career Boot Camp need to register* to save their seats. Also, professional attire, copies of your resumes, and notepads are highly encouraged!

What: Join Career Management Services for the Spring 2017 ‘Lunch & Learn’ series where you’ll have the unique opportunity to engage with executives from your field of study in an intimate setting and find out what steps they took to land their current jobs and what you can do to enhance your chances at a profession in your major. 
The event will be accompanied by a complimentary lunch where you’ll be able to sit and take a deep dive with our guest and find out how they’ve made a career out of your major. Targeted to: Marketing and International Business Majors.

How to Stand Out at Career Fair (Workshop for Business Students)

An overview of how to approach career fair with a strategy. Discusses career fair preparation, appropriate dress, developing your 30 second elevator speech, as well as do’s and don’ts in the process of preparing for, attending, and following up after the fair.

CareerLeader: Which Career Path is Right for Me? (Workshop for Business Students)

This workshop will provide expert assessments of a student’s unique pattern of business-relevant interests, motivators and skills. They will also be able to match a student to specific business-related careers when compared to the database of hundreds of thousands of business professionals. Students will be able to understand what organizational cultures will be the best fit for them.

RSVP is required. CareerLeader Assessment should be taken prior to workshop.
